The Stable | Oak-Frame Kent hideaway · Hot Tub

A romantic oak-frame stable for two, tucked into a secluded apple orchard in the High Weald of Kent. The Stable at Tollgate Farm is a countryside hideaway couples come back to — a wood-fired hot tub under the stars, a crackling log burner inside, and footpaths from the door to Sissinghurst and Cranbrook.

A romantic escape, designed for two (and your dog). Exposed oak beams, vaulted ceilings and a hand-built bespoke kitchen give the space its character; underfloor warmth, super-fast Wi-Fi, smart TV and an EV charger keep it effortlessly modern. Step outside to your own enclosed garden — perfect for slow mornings with coffee, walks with the dog through the orchard, and stargazing in the wood-fired hot tub after dark.

What guests love (from recent 5★ reviews): "Hot tub under the stars!" · "Our dogs absolutely loved exploring the orchard" · "Peaceful, scenic, log burner is perfect".

The setting: Set within a four-acre estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Stable feels entirely private. Cranbrook, Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Great Dixter and award-winning vineyards (Chapel Down, Balfour) are all within a short drive. London is just over an hour by train; the Kent coast 30 minutes.

Perfect for: romantic escapes, anniversaries, dog-friendly getaways, Sissinghurst garden visits, Kent vineyard tours, peaceful countryside breaks.

Please note: this property is a peaceful countryside retreat and is not suitable for stag/hen parties or other party-style group bookings.

Quiet hours: please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm. Before then, music and general noise should be kept at a low, considerate level out of respect for neighbours.
